New glass could make touchscreens lighter and more responsive. As of Tuesday, Gorilla Glass, the glass that makes gadgets such as iPhones and iPads, and more than 500 other models of touchscreen devices has unveiled a thinner and more touch-sensitive version of their product. "Gorilla Glass 2" is apparently much more responsice and lighter, and has more resistance to scratches and fingerprints. However, the new glass is not any more resistant to breakage than the other glass. However, it is a big upgrade either way. Also, just because it is more resistant to scratches, does not mean it will not get scratched if mistreated. Lastly, since the glass is about .2 millimeters thinner, it is going to make the screen look brighter. This Gorilla Glass 2 is going to debut in Windows-based PCs this year, and soon after that, on all touch devices.
